Don't forget the closets when selling a home. Staging your closets is just as important as staging your rooms. Most if not all buyers look in closets, cabinets and drawers and it is important to have them organized or staged properly. I'm big on creating unique and interesting scenes in rooms as well as in places that most people ignore, like laundry rooms ,mud rooms, drawers, or closets. We all know buyers will open them and look inside so why not give them something interesting and memorable to look at. So don't forget the closets when selling a home they are just as important as the rest of the home since most buyers are always looking for extra storage space. Happy Staging!

It is amazing when showing properties, the buyers go right to the closets. They do want to see the storage. Thanks for the reminder and the great post.
Hi Jerry - thanx for stopping by and you are right people always want to see the closets.
I agree with you ~ Everyone likes to check out the closet space in a home and messy closets are very unappealing! Any disorganization in a home may lead people to think other items may not be maintained very well either.
Hi Kerry - thanx for stopping by and your comments. I couldn't agree with you more.
Excellent advice. So often the closet is where everything is hidden that was cluttering up the rooms. It's a good idea to clean and organize those closets. Nice post. Hope all sellers read.
Thanx Judi appreciate you stopping by and I also hope sellers read this - it is important to the sale of a home.
I haven't staged any closets yet but have seen them done in models and they look really nice. For "lived in" properties...they must be tidy!!!
Hi Valerie - I love staging empty closets it's lots of fun and I totally agree for occupied homes you must tidy up or pack things away. Thanx for stopping by.
Mannie ~ Great advice, I always check the closets and offer some advice for the home sellers on how to make them look better and less clutter. Storage is a big issue for buyers. Kate
Most people think I'm crazy because one of my favorite things to do is clean out a closet or cabinet. Most people would rather do anything else, but not me...just give me a disaster of a mess of a closet and I'm a very happy girl!
Hi Kate - glad to hear from you and I agree about providing advice to sellers. It is important to point out that buyers are looking for space.
Hi Sharon - I'm not sure if I'm enthusiastic like you about organizing closets but I do enjoy staging them! Thanx for stopping by.
I have added a few little touches in my staging, it makes people remember!
Hi Cindy - Thanx for stopping by and also for connecting with me on MC. All the best!
They look so cute! When I try and convince people to work on their closets I am amazed at how many say "that won't really make a difference will it?" aayy yi yi!
Hi Debra - these clients packed up the mess as they were really not using this bathroom closet. So I thought it would be nice to stage it and they loved it! The house sold in 4 days and the buyers wanted me to leave the closet as is - isn't that funny! Thanx for taking the time to comment.
That is funny that they wanted you to leave it. I wonder how long that will last. LOL You did a great job with it!
