The Staging Fashionista Blog: A Rose for Guests Or Should I say Buyers

A Rose for Guests Or Should I say Buyers

I was staging an occupied home and one of the rooms was a guest room.  So in order to add something special for the guests or should I say buyers, I added an origami towel rose and some chocolates.  I sure hope the guests or should I say buyers like the origami rose.  I know the homeowner and realtor loved the added touch of towels and chocolates in the guest room!

Hi Mannie~  So creative and clever.  And anything with chocolate, has to be good!

Hi Shanna - I don't mind - origami towel folding is a great way to display towels in an interesting way.  I love using it in staging as my signature prop.  So go for it and have fun.

That's pretty cool...how about a yellow duck for the bathtub as well?

Great staging touch that viewers remember.  You are a talented lady.

Hi Sharon - thanx for stopping by and the nice compliment I appreciate it.

Mannie- what a cute idea!  Don't know if I could do the origami towel rose but sure can do the chocolates (that is if they aren't eaten by the staging crew first)!

Hi Kathy - no doubt!  However, a good way to lure buyers into a room!

This post reminded me of a staging I did a few years ago -- placed some nice Faux chocolates on a saucer with hot chocolate and when I went back .... the "chocolates" had bites in them!

Thanx for stopping by Karen - I love doing it because it seems to appeal to homeowners, realtors and buyers alike.  As long as it keeps a house noticed I will keep doing it.

Great idea....today I picked up a staging where I had a vase w/lid that had "red/back licorice".....had being the word!  That licorice had seen many a staging and today it was empty.  I laugh picturing some enjoying that very stale licorice....ENJOY!

What a lovely and memorable way to make a guest room say 'upscale hotel comfort'.  I suspect buyers will remember that house!

Mannie - you're a pro with towels.  That rose looks incredibly cute and one I'm sure the potential buyers will remember.
