The Staging Fashionista Blog: From Awkward to Homey

From Awkward to Homey

The Staging Fashionista staged this home in Sterling, VA.  This was an awkward room that was long and rectangular.  Prior to renovation this was the garage.  Buyers could not figure out how to use this room but when we staged it - it went from awkward to homey!

Very nice!  You did your job by turning an awkward space into something buyers could see themselves living in.

Nicely done Mannie.  It really helps to stage a home to allow the non-visual buyers to get ideas on how they could arrange their furniture when buying a home.

Hi Patsy and Leigh Anne - thank you for your comments.  When I first walked into the home I asked them what is this room supposed to be and they said a gameroom! Well we kinda made it that :0)

Hi Mannie, that is a nice selection of earth tone colors you used to make the new room feel comfortable and appealing.  Great job!

Long rectangle rooms are so awkward and so hard to visualize for the buyer when they are empty. You did a great job!

You did a great job, the long lines of the sofa made the room look bigger.

Yes, you did a great job staging my listing and now it is scheduled to close in a week.  Your input on how to make the house a home made this listing sell.  THANK YOU !!   Marguerite
